What’s a unit rate?

Edited

A unit rate is the price you pay for each unit of electricity and gas. It’s measured in pence per kilowatt hour (p/kWh).

For example, if your unit rate is 25p/kWh and you use 100 units of electricity, you’ll pay £25 for your energy usage, plus any standing charge.
