If there’s an incorrect CCJ on your report, the first thing you need to do is get in touch with the court that lists your CCJ. This is because TransUnion, the Credit Reference Agency we work with to create your credit report, can’t make changes to this data unless the court says so.
After you have spoken with the court, you can flag this with TransUnion by clicking ‘raise a dispute’ against the appropriate section of your TotallyMoney credit report. TransUnion will then ask you to provide evidence to support your dispute, the issuing court should be able to provide you with this.
It can take up to 28 days to hear back from TransUnion. This is the time they are required to give authorities, to investigate the issue.
