If you have raised a dispute and it has been unsuccessful, don’t worry, there are still steps you can take to have the information removed from your credit report.
If the information is still incorrect, this would indicate that either the information is correct or that the lender is unaware that they are reporting incorrect information. TransUnion are only able to amend information on your credit report if the lender gives them authorisation.
You can contact your lender directly to discuss the incorrect information, the lender should then be able to provide you with further details on why this information is being reported on your credit report. If the lender agrees that the information is incorrect, you can then request that they update TransUnion with the correct information.
Alternatively, you can contact TransUnion directly for more information about the unsuccessful dispute and they may be able to provide you with some additional information. To do this, please contact TransUnion directly here.
Alternatively, if you would like to dispute public information, such as the electoral information or judgments, then you may need to contact the issuing body before raising a complaint. This is because TransUnion will require you to send evidence to them support your dispute before they are able to take any action.
