A pre-paid card will not require you to pass a credit check and some, such as Cashplus credit cards, provide a credit building service for a monthly fee. At £5.95 per month, this is an expensive way to build your credit, but could be worth considering if you’re not eligible for any of the cards for people with poor credit.
Use this card carefully. Never miss a payment, and watch out for ATM cash withdrawal fees and redemption fees. You’ll probably also want to steer clear of the high-interest ‘overdraft’, iAdvance and other loan features they offer. Take a look at Cashplus.
