How is my TransUnion credit score calculated?

Edited

Your credit score is based on the information on your credit report. The score we show you is calculated by TransUnion and is designed to give you an indication of your credit health.

Several factors contribute to your TransUnion credit score, including:

  • your payment history

  • public records such as judgments, bankruptcies, and insolvencies

  • your outstanding debt levels

  • how much of your available credit you’re using

  • whether you're registered to vote

Your new TransUnion score will look at trends in your credit data, and combine how you use credit over time with a moment-in-time snapshot. This gives you a fuller picture of your financial behaviour, without changing what lenders see.

This update will also offer more personalised insights and tailored guidance on what’s working well and how to improve. So, you’ll know where you stand and what to do next.
