Will my score band change?
We’re updating your TransUnion credit score to give you a clearer and more helpful picture of your credit health. Your new score will look at trends in your credit data, and combine how you use credit over time with a moment-in-time snapshot. This offers you a fuller picture of how you manage credit.
At the same time, TransUnion is extending their scale, so it will be out of 999, not 710. And the way your score is calculated is also being updated. This will give you a more rounded view of how lenders might interpret your credit report.
As a result, the score bands will be different, so your score band may change.
We know a change in your score band can feel worrying, but this update won’t affect your chances of getting credit or your existing credit agreements. Your credit report information will stay exactly the same as before.
